We went away on a short vacation to England and Scotland. I have been in London once for an exhibition in the Tate Gallery some years ago but I never visited England and Scotland before. We used the ferryboat, also a first time experience, and we had a lovely vacation.
We started in Hull and drove to Windermere where we had a boat trip on the lake, and we were not alone…..there were masses and masses of tourists but of course it is the middle of the holiday season here in Europe.
But enough said, here are the pictures.
WE HAD DRAMATIC SKIES EVERYWHERE WE WENT (AND SOME RAIN OFCOURSE)
LOTS OF GEESE, SWANS AND DUCKS ON THE LAKE IN WINDERMERE
THIS IS WHY THERE WERE SO MANY BIRDS….
AND BOATS FOR THE TOURISTS, THEY WERE ALL COMPLETLY FULL
LOTS AND LOTS OF DOGS
MOSSES AND FERNS ON THE ROCKS
Next stop will be the world famous town of Gretna Green.
Thanks for visiting my blog, enjoy your garden and your holidays !
We are having a heathwave ! We go from cold to hot in one day, we can’t cope with it nor can the plants. And it has been extremely dry for a while, we live on sandy gound that dries out very quickly. But never the less, I enjoy it, everything grows and grows, with a little help of the waterhose ofcourse. We can eat outside morning, noon and evening with a nice view on the whole garden. What more do you want ??!
