GROWING

My fruits and vegetables are growing nicely, we have hot weather and the climate in the greenhouse is tropical but as long as we keep watering well everything is growing.

  1. Yes we had a late frost in the uk too which has effected the apples sadly.
Im thinking of getting a second Greenhouse especially to grow a vine. We have one outside but the grapes are not always very big.

    1. Oh but grapes don’t have to be big, they have to be tasty, mine are not big either but they taste good, our climate is not good for big grapes or big figs….

          1. No. We only moved to the old house 18 months ago and discovered the vine growing against a lovely sunny wall in September its old for sure…the grapes are green and it has seeds. I have pruned it and moved some other shrubs that were in its light so I’m hoping that this summer it will produce more quality grapes. It had loads last summer but they were all very small so perhaps it had too many but no quality? Does that make sense?

            1. definitely too many grape bunches or too many grapes on one bunch, the grapevine I have looses grapes if there are to many in one bunch but for most grapevine you have to cut grapes out of the bunch to thin it

    1. we first had hot weather in early Spring, then frostso there was a lot of damage to plants and shrubs but my figs are growing against a South wall, and the grapes are in the green house so no damage there

        1. that’s not much ! professional fruitgrowers here in Belgium claim that almost 90 % of the apples and pears are lost due to the weather early in Spring, and now we have a severe draught and more fruit and veg are not doing well…but that is nature
